I’ve been doing outreaching since June of last year and have sent 500+ messages/emails so far. The difference between the ones I sent early on and the ones I write now is HUGE.
After years of experimenting with my pitch, I’ve finally arrived at a framework I like the best. So in this issue I’m sharing that framework. I’ve sent 18 messages with this framework so far and converted one person.
Take it, tweak it, and see if it works for you.
5-Step Outreach Framework
1. Start by noticing something real about their work
Open with a specific observation/praise about their brand.
Example (personal branding):
Hey A, I saw that you're working for such a noble cause. I highly admire it.
2. Spot a content gap connected to YOUR service
Identify a gap that directly ties to what your service.
Example (continuing with the above example):
I saw you haven't posted in 2 months, but your profile shows you want to be consistent.
3. Connect that gap to a practical outcome
Describe what they will get once they fill that gap.
Example (continuing):
Rightly so, your work needs to be out there for donation and funding purposes.
4. Position your service as the easiest solution
Show that you can take over the writing part with minimal effort from them.
Example (continuing):
I'm Diksha, a personal branding strategist, and I would like to help you.
I can write posts for you while you focus on doing THE work.
5. Close with a soft CTA
End with a light, no-pressure question.
Example (personal branding):
Is this something you would like?
Here are screenshots of different messages I’ve sent for personal branding on LinkedIn. I’ve used the framework as the foundation and tweaked it here and there.
Message 1:

Message 2:

And this particular message converted the lead.

This is it for today’s issue. I’ll be back with another one in the next month.
Hope this was helpful. I’d love to hear your views.
See you in the next edition,
Diksha
